We can mold a wide variety of materials with a range of physical properties and chemical compatibilities to meet most applications. The materials we use can meet UL flame retardant standards, FDA approvals, and USP Class IV to meet certain medical requirements.
Tactile keyboards are almost always made with silicone. Silicone is highly inert, has an excellent operating temperature range, is easily color matched, and its physical properties ensure an excellent tactile feel and functionality. - Fast Tooling Options:
Using 3D printing tools, we can produce prototype parts from liquid silicone rubber in 10-14 days. - Finishing:
Our silicone molds can be matched to Pantone or RAL color references, printed, painted, and laser etched to add a premium finish to the part. Plastic molds can also be printed, painted, chrome plated, and laser etched to provide a premium feel.
Keyboards can be supplied with hard plastic covers, and resin top covers, and assembled to metal dome carriers or flexible printed circuits, all with adhesive backing for easy assembly - Development Partners:

Silicone Rubber Keypads Manufacturing Process
Rubber Keypad Design
The first step in making a silicone rubber keypad is to confirm the design. Our design department can assist with the design if needed.
Compression Molding
Compression molding is the process of creating products through the placement and heating of pre-cured silicone rubber.
Making The Tool
Once the keypad design has been confirmed, we should use CNC milling machines and electrical discharge machines to fabricate the tool.
Laser Etching/Silkscreen Printing
Depending on the effect, we can choose screen printing or laser etching to meet your requirements.
Mixing and Matching Colors
Colored silicone rubber is manually placed on the base mat. Keyboard bases will be formed from silicone, the keys will retain their specific color.
Testing and Packaging
We test our products every step of the way during production, then pack and ship them to you after they’ve passed quality checks.
